How to use this handbook

You don't need to read it cover to cover. Most engineers come here looking for one of three things:

1. A specific company guide — start with Interview Guides and find your target.
2. A coding pattern they keep failing on — jump to Coding Interview Preparation.
3. A system design framework — the System Design Interview section walks through fundamentals first, then case studies.

Pair the reading with deliberate practice. Reading without solving is one of the most common reasons strong candidates still bomb interviews.

A note on quality over quantity

It's tempting to grind 500 LeetCode problems or memorize 30 system design templates. Almost no one who clears a top-tier interview did that. They picked ~15 patterns, drilled them until the patterns were obvious, and learned to communicate clearly under pressure. That's the bar this handbook is calibrated to.
